WOMEN
WAR DESERT is an ode to the brave women who have raised their voices
against the madness of any war. This performance essay - staged
reading is a poignant and bold antiwar story about two mothers,
one American and one Arab, who have lost their sons fighting a senseless
war on the opposite sides of the front line. They meet somewhere
in a Middle Eastern desert and realize that “war does not
decide who is right but who is left,” and that in the end,
mothers cry on both sides.
